So many generous people are contributing to the work we’re doing at We Give A Share, we thought you might enjoy seeing some of the many faces behind the scenes. It takes a village after all!

Chef Joe Scully, chef and owner of Corner Kitchen and Chestnut restaurants, is gathering home-made backed goods from restaurants in town as a part of our WGAS delivery.

If our kitchen has a soul, she’s named Hanan Shabazz. An Asheville native, she’s owned restaurants in the historic Block neighborhood and was instrumental in establishing the Go Ready Kitchen Program.

A mainstay of the Southside Kitchen is Kikkoman Shaw, who has worked in many Asheville restaurants throughout his career. Kikko gets things done!

Southside Kitchen is grateful to be one of the recipients of 6800 pounds of food donated by Sysco. The YMCA shared in the gift and is distributing needed food to many families in the Y’s system.
