Hats Off to Our Farm Partners

We are so very fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places in the world here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. And often, we forget the restorative powers of simply being out, maneuvering curvy mountain roads, tunneling deeper and deeper into farmland and forest. It’s literally a breath of fresh air!

Creasman Farms, located near Edneyville

We visited two of our partner farms this morning – Creasman, located near Edneyville, which produces dozens of varieties of apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, blackberries and blueberries. Tucked into a pristine valley, the farm has been under the care of the Creasman family for decades and Dawn Creasman was basketing up fresh peaches for delivery to WGAS. Lucky us!

Looking Glass Creamery in Polk County

Over in Polk County, near Columbus, Andy and Jennifer Perkins of Looking Glass Farm, Dairy and Creamery are looking forward to being able to open their farm stores back up in both Columbus as well as Fairview. In the meantime, WGAS is purchasing their farmstead cheese that makes for some delicious Farm and Sparrow grits.

We are grateful to all our farm partners. And it’s nice to reconnect – with them and with their land.
